3. What LedgeLog Is
LedgeLog is a post-trade analytics and journaling platform. It helps users import trading data, review execution, record notes, and analyze performance.
LedgeLog is not a broker, exchange, custodian, portfolio manager, or execution venue. LedgeLog does not place, route, modify, or cancel trades on your behalf and does not have discretionary authority over your exchange accounts.
4. No Investment, Legal, Tax, or Financial Advice
LedgeLog provides software, data organization, and analytics only. Nothing in the service or on the website is investment advice, trading advice, legal advice, tax advice, or financial advice. You remain solely responsible for your trading decisions, risk management, regulatory compliance, and tax reporting.
5. Accounts, Credentials, and Read-Only Access
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and email account.
- You must use read-only API permissions where available and must not provide withdrawal or trading permissions to LedgeLog.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account unless caused by LedgeLog's own breach of these Terms or applicable law.
6. Closed Beta Status
LedgeLog is currently offered as a closed beta service. Features may be incomplete, modified, suspended, or removed at any time. Availability, retention, exports, support timelines, and feature coverage may change as the service develops.
Beta access is invite-based and may be revoked where reasonably needed for abuse prevention, security, legal compliance, product changes, or operational constraints.
7. Acceptable Use
You must not:
- use the service unlawfully or in violation of exchange rules or third-party rights;
- probe, scan, reverse engineer, or interfere with the security, availability, or integrity of the service;
- upload or transmit malware, harmful automation, or abusive traffic;
- attempt to access another user's data or circumvent account, invite, payment, or access controls;
- use the service to build a competing product through scraping or automated extraction not expressly permitted by LedgeLog; or
- misrepresent yourself, your entity, or your authority to use connected exchange accounts.
8. Your Content and Limited License
You retain ownership of the journal entries, reflections, notes, labels, uploaded materials, and other content you submit to LedgeLog.
You grant LedgeLog a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, revocable license to host, copy, encrypt, store, process, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, back up, improve, and support the service for you.
You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit the content and data you provide to LedgeLog.
9. LedgeLog Intellectual Property
The LedgeLog service, code, design, branding, models, text, charts, and software are owned by or licensed to LedgeLog and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose. No other rights are granted.
10. Third-Party Services and Data Accuracy
LedgeLog depends on third-party services such as hosting providers, analytics providers, email providers, and exchange APIs. Exchange data may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, or inaccurate. LedgeLog is not responsible for outages, data gaps, rate limits, or failures caused by exchanges or other third parties.
Exchange names, trademarks, and logos remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance in the service only identifies compatibility and does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation.
11. Suspension and Termination
LedgeLog may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if reasonably necessary to protect the service, comply with law, investigate abuse, enforce these Terms, respond to security issues, or manage beta operations.
You may stop using the service at any time and may request account deletion subject to the Privacy Policy.
12. Warranties and Availability
To the extent permitted by law, LedgeLog is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. LedgeLog does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, fit for a particular trading outcome, or that any analytics, metrics, or imported data will be complete or accurate in every circumstance.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LedgeLog is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive losses, or for lost profits, trading losses, data loss, opportunity loss, or business interruption arising from or related to the service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
14. Indemnity
If you use LedgeLog for a business or commercial purpose, you agree to indemnify LedgeLog against claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from your misuse of the service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.
15. Force Majeure
LedgeLog is not liable for any delay, failure, or interruption caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including internet outages, exchange API failures, hosting failures, power loss, denial-of-service events, labour disputes, government action, natural disasters, or similar events.

These Terms and any non-contractual obligations related to them are governed by the laws of Ireland.
If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory rights available under the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in any court that applicable consumer law allows. If you use LedgeLog wholly for a business purpose, the courts of Dublin, Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction.
17. Changes to These Terms
LedgeLog may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page with its effective date. If a change is material, LedgeLog will take reasonable steps to highlight it before or when it becomes effective. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
