1. What This Policy Covers
LedgeLog uses a small number of essential cookies and similar technologies to keep accounts signed in, protect sessions, remember an optional keep-signed-in choice, and store your analytics preference. Separate optional analytics tools may also run after you accept analytics.
2. Current Cookies and Similar Technologies
| Name / Technology | Type | Purpose | Typical Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
session |
Strictly necessary cookie | Stores the authenticated session identifier so the app can keep you signed in securely. | Normally up to 24 hours of session lifetime. |
remember_token |
Optional authentication cookie | Lets you stay signed in across browser restarts when you explicitly choose "Keep me signed in." | 30 days. |
ledgelog_analytics_consent |
Preference cookie and mirrored local storage value | Records whether you accepted optional analytics or chose essential technologies only. | 12 months from your latest choice. |
ledgelog_analytics_consent_updated_at |
Preference timestamp cookie and mirrored local storage value | Records when your analytics choice was last updated so LedgeLog can evidence and respect that preference. | 12 months from your latest choice. |
| Cloudflare Web Analytics | Optional analytics script | Measures page traffic and performance on LedgeLog after analytics consent is accepted. | Loaded only after consent. Cloudflare states the tool does not use cookies or local storage itself. |
| PostHog, if enabled later | Optional product analytics | Would measure product usage and operational analytics inside the app if LedgeLog later turns it on. | Not active unless specifically configured and still subject to analytics consent. |
3. Legal Bases
- Strictly necessary session and security technologies are used because they are required to provide and secure the service.
- The
remember_tokencookie is used only when you ask LedgeLog to keep you signed in. - Optional analytics rely on your consent and stay disabled until you accept them.
4. Analytics Providers
Cloudflare Web Analytics
LedgeLog uses Cloudflare Web Analytics as an optional analytics provider. It is loaded only after you accept analytics through the consent controls. Cloudflare describes this tool as cookie-less, but it still processes browser and request telemetry after you opt in.
PostHog if enabled
The LedgeLog application is prepared to support PostHog for product analytics in the future. If that feature is enabled, LedgeLog will keep it behind the same analytics-consent control and update the public legal pages to reflect the live configuration.
5. Managing Consent
When no analytics choice has been recorded, LedgeLog shows a consent banner. You can accept analytics or keep the site on essential technologies only. After a choice is recorded, a Cookie Settings button remains available so the preference can be changed later.
You can also block or delete cookies using your browser controls. Doing so may sign you out or reset your saved preferences.
6. More Information
For more detail about how personal data is processed, read the Privacy Policy. For questions about cookies or analytics, use the contact point listed in the Support and Legal Notice.
